On some early MGB's (pre-1967), based on clearance issues, some starters will need to be clocked in such a way that the body of the starter will be in the way of one of the mounting holes.  For these customers, the solution is to remove the mounting plate and \"preloading\" the one mounting bolt.  The clearances to tighten this bolt are tight, but achievable.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e#3.  Some \"late\" MGB's have a 3-wire hookup.  This 3rd wire is a direct line to the coil.
