NOTE:  All original v12's had 9 tooth pinion gear.  The 1971-year car has a 9 tooth 29mm pinion.  All 1972 and later starters have 9 tooth 25mm pinion.  Because the 25mm pinion gear is not longer available for this application, our 1972 and later starters  have 11 tooth 29mm in its place.  Don't be alarmed with the different tooth count, it will work just fine.
