1960 Liege-Rome-Liege Race won by an All Woman Team

At the end of a week where women's achievements were celebrated, let's remember that the late Pat Moss (Stirling's sister) and Ann Wisdom won the 1960-Rome-Cork on board the Big Healey.

  • 3500 km from northern Europe through the Alps to southern Yugoslavia and back in 96 hours of non-stop and thorough driving.
  • It was BMC's first straight win at the European Rally Championship, and the first for an all female crew.
  • Of the 89 runners, 71 DNF'ed.
  • The 13 finalists included 4 Healeys, 3 Porsche, 3 Citroën and a Volvo 122.
